The Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program (CPSP)
The Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program (CPSP) provides support for individuals with moderate to severe mental health challenges. Our team of dedicated recovery workers provides community outreach, therapeutic, and practical support to help participants achieve their recovery goals. CPSP is delivered through four service streams: New Path, Continuity of Support, Access Enabling, and Group Support.
Continuity of Support (CoS)
Continuity of Support (CoS) supports individuals (18 to 64) with enduring mental health concerns. The program helps participants build and maintain their well-being through increased community connectedness and targeted support at times of greater need. This includes weekly group-based support and occasional individual outreach.
To be eligible, participants must be engaged with regular professional care, such as a psychiatrist, psychologist, or GP, for crisis management and ongoing interventions outside the program.
Eligibility
Participants must:
- live, work or study in the ACT
- be aged between 18 to 64 years of age
- experience moderate to severe enduring mental health symptoms
- Not be accessing psychosocial support under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or similar Government or community services.
Referrals
CPSP accepts both professional and self-referrals.
Referrals can be made via the WCS website using an online form.
CPSP is funded by Capital Health Network through the Australian Government’s Primary Health Network (PHN) program.
