At Red Hill Primary School, Woden Community Service (WCS) provides quality before school, after school and school holiday programs for children in Preschool to Year 6.
Red Hill OSHC has been a part of the Red Hill Primary School community for many years. Our service is built on strong foundations of mutual respect and a passion for working with children. Across each of our programs, passionate, enthusiastic and caring educators work together to create an environment that is welcoming, educational and engaging. Our highly experienced team aim to create a program that is thoughtful and purpose driven, while learning and growing with families and responding to the ever evolving needs of our local community. This ensures Red Hill OSHC continues to be a place where children are included, feel safe and have fun.
Open communication between our educators and families informs continuous improvement at each of our programs. We believe that setting clears and consistent high expectations for children and having a well established routine contributes to children and families feeling safe, secure and supported. At Red Hill OSHC we understand that when children feel a sense of belonging, their confidence grows and they are empowered to learn and thrive.
Before School Care
We serve a nutritious breakfast and offer inside and outdoor activities to engage your child’s brain as they start their day.
This program operates out of the school hall. Our educators escort children in Preschool and Kindergarten to their classroom, while all other children make their own way to their room.
Minis After School Care
This program caters for children Preschool and Kindergarten. We serve a nutritious snack for afternoon tea and offer an inclusive environment with a focus on building children’s social skills, resilience and connection to their world.
This program operates out of the Preschool space. Our educators collect children in Kindergarten from their classroom and escort them to after school care.
Juniors After School Care
This program operates out of the craft room and caters for children in Kindergarten and Year 1. We serve a nutritious snack for afternoon tea and offer an inclusive environment with a focus on building children’s social skills, resilience and sustainability.
Seniors After School Care
This program operates out of the school hall and caters for children in Year 1 to Year 6. We serve a nutritious snack for afternoon tea and offer an inclusive environment that provides play and recreation based activities that are centered on the children’s interests. Children can participate in leisure and recreation activities such as art, games, gardening, cooking, and drama.
School Holiday Program
Our service at Red Hill provides a school holiday program for children in Preschool to Year 6. During school holidays, we provide a blend of excursions, incursions and in-service activities. This caters for all families and mimics a home like environment. We serve a nutritious snack for afternoon tea and ask families to provide morning tea and lunch for their child.
The educational program and list of activities offered are available on the Monday of week 6 of each school term.
