2025 Adult and Community Education (ACE) Program

The 2025 Adult and Community Education (ACE) program starts again in March 2025 and will provide practical, hands-on learning opportunities for adults in the community.

About the ACE Program

The ACE program is a free, 15-week program that provides participants with foundational language, literacy and numeracy training in a supported learning environment.

What’s New in 2025?

This year, the collaboration with Stepping Stone Café in Dickson offers participants local industry-specific experience in a supportive and inclusive environment. Stepping Stone Café is a social enterprise that supports women from migrant and refugee backgrounds, helping them build skills, confidence, and connections in their new community. Our ACE team will also create stronger connections with our social enterprise initiative as we expand into catering and canteens.

This collaboration will provide opportunities to explore the hospitality industry as an employment pathway and build confidence in a supportive and inclusive setting. Participants will also benefit from guidance and mentorship from experienced trainers, creating valuable pathways for growth and learning.

Program Benefits

  • Hands-on learning in industry-specific settings
  • Skill development for work, study, and daily life

The program is open to individuals with CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) backgrounds looking to develop foundational literacy and numeracy skills while building confidence in a flexible, accessible, and welcoming environment.
