The Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program (CPSP)

The Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program (CPSP) provides support for individuals with moderate to severe mental health challenges. Our team of dedicated recovery workers provides community outreach and therapeutic and practical support to help participants achieve their recovery goals.

CPSP is delivered through four service streams: New Path, Continuity of Support, Access Enabling, and Group Support.

New Path

New Path is an early intervention outreach service primarily supporting young people (18 to 35). New Path helps participants address the early signs and symptoms of mental ill-health by increasing their independence and resilience and reducing the need for long-term or crisis-driven support. New Path can also support individuals aged 35 to 64 who have first experienced mental health symptoms later in life.

Eligibility

Participants must:

  • live, work or study in the ACT
  • be aged between 18 to 35 years of age (or 35 – 64 with first onset)
  • experience moderate to severe mental health symptoms
  • Not be accessing psychosocial support under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or similar Government or community services.

Referrals

CPSP accepts both professional and self-referrals.

Referrals can be made via the WCS website using an online form.

CPSP is funded by Capital Health Network through the Australian Government’s Primary Health Network (PHN) program.
