There’s a new space for Canberra’s young people

The brand new Gungahlin Community Centre opened its doors in July and inside is our brand new dedicated Youth Hub, right in the heart of the Town Centre!

Northside Community Service is running the Hub together with Barnardos, Multicultural Hub and Relationships Australia, and we couldn’t be more excited to be in.

The Hub carries on the heart of our Gunners Place service, which has been part of the Gungahlin community for years, just with a lot more room to breathe.

We’re now at the corner of Efkarpidis Street and Gungahlin Place, a short walk from the light rail stop, with outdoor green spaces to hang out in and rooms designed for everything from creative workshops to quiet one-on-one conversations. There’s a kitchen, arcade games, table tennis, pool, a huge screen and games and a fully equipped laundry if needed.

Our team are there alongside the brilliant people from Barnardos and Relationships Australia, so young people can get the right kind of support, from the right person, without having to go searching for it across the city.

Drop-in times: Open every Wednesday during the school term 2.00pm -5.00pm

Open on the first Friday of the month during school term - 3.00pm – 7.00pm

Monday – Individualised support or group facilitated session (through booking only)
